We are looking for a person who will provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity.

Your overall responsibilities will include

  • Providing leadership and support for care staff
  • Acting as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity.
  • Maintaining skills and knowledge and ensuring that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available
  • Overseeing the ongoing safety of residents, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes
  • Ensuring clear and accurate records and communication systems related to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used
  • Being a role model for good clinical and care governance practice
  • Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
    • Provide effective leadership and support for the care team
    • Supervise care staff on a day to day basis and through formal supervision processes
    • Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and clinical support they require
    • Demand high quality care delivery focused on residents individually assessed needs and choices
    • Promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and professional appearance
    • Support new Team Leaders and care staff in the completion of induction programs, training and competency assessment

Your overall responsibilities will include

  • Prior experience in working with Type 1, Gestational and Type 2 Diabetics
  • Understanding of care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans

As our Senior Dietician your specialized duties will be related to the nutrition counselling of patients and their families in order to achieve outcomes consistent with Sympatica’s treatment goals
Your areas of influence will include diabetes education, weight management, cardiovascular disease, renal disease, malnutrition / weight gain, nutrition therapy, gastrointestinal disorders and nutrition therapy, sports nutrition or healthy diet.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interviews patients / families which may include obtaining a diet history, exercise habits, reviewing emotional/social issues as part of the diet counselling process and document any pertinent information obtained in Sympatica’s patient record system
  • Plan and coordinates age appropriate care including general nutrition (monitoring, medical records, and office records), food/drug interaction, and recommendations for referrals to other disciplines
  • Provide aggressive nutrition intervention appropriate for age and/or developmental stage and conduct follow-ups for continuity of care with ongoing evaluations and documentation including assessments, reassessments and recommendations
  • Counsel and instructpatients and/or care givers providing written instruction materials.
  • Evaluate and documents patient and/or caregiver understanding of diet based on behavioural objectives
  • Develop and revise education materials and teaching outlines including individual and group handouts, ensuring materials are understandable and accurate
  • Promote nutrition and the Food Services Department through public relations and marketing

Experience & Finer Details

  • BS degree in Nutrition or relevant field of study with dietetic internship or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the ADA/IDA Commission on Dietetic Registration or registry eligible with the ability to obtain within three months of hire

As a Lead Data Architect, you will provide technical leadership, define vision, strategy and principles for data management. You will be defining standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modelling, cleansing, enriching, transforming, moving, storing, searching and delivering data.

You will help set up the framework for our vision and serve as the liaison between data consumer representatives and data solution development, integration and governance teams. Additionally, we’ll look for your experience to understand our technical data security options and participate in technical road mapping

In order to do this, you must understand how data is, or will be used and its implications on people, processes, products and technology. You will also inform and interpret data project sponsors.

Technical Skills and Attributes Required

  • M.S in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to work at multiple levels of a metadata management project, including defining the metadata management architecture and standards, managing the metadata project, mentoring metadata stewards, etc.
  • Proven and demonstrated experience developing data models and architectures in software platforms or applications successfully brought to market.
  • Expertise in data abstraction and modelling in software systems including data model definition, entity definition, Attributes, KPIs etc.
  • Expertise in data warehousing, relational (Oracle, SQL, DB2, Teradata) and light data base architectures, and big data storage and processing platforms like Hadoop, HBASE, Hive

You will help design and develop our communication to our users through the app. At Sympatica you will work in the innovative frontiers of Big Data frameworks. We need developers who aren’t intimidated by large open source code-bases. It’s exciting work!

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate and assist technology staff in the design, development and implementation of architectural deliverables
  • Contribute to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions; develop prototypes of the system design
  • Responsible for leading the daily triage and problem-solving efforts, digging deep to get to issue root cause and architecting solutions to prevent future occurrence
  • Serve as a technical resource; provide tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required. Masters preferred.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will be

  • Identifying gaps and opportunities in the Patient, Health Coach and Doctor experience
  • Leading multi-disciplinary product teams of behavioural researchers, user insights, engineering, data science, and product management through the product design process (ideation, concept development, validation, wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design)
  • Collaborating closely within your product team (behavioural researchers, user insights, engineering, data science and product management)
  • Using journey maps, user flows, and system diagrams to think and communicate ideas that impact the end-to-end participant experience.
  • Crafting beautiful web, mobile and print designs that connect the dots between user needs, data, business goals, and clinical insight
